About Us

Dr. Marc Pana

When I think of the word “smile”, I think of beauty and health.  Your smile says a lot about you and the person you are.  It’s communicating without saying a word.  A beautiful and a healthy smile can give a person the confidence they need to feel good about themselves.  Research actually shows that smiling is good for your health.  Even if you don’t feel like smiling, making yourself smile will release chemicals in your body that are healthy for you.

When I was a teenager, my lower jaw started to grow abnormally and I needed jaw surgery.  However, I couldn’t get the surgery until I was 21 years old.  I also needed to get braces before the surgery.  When I was 20 years old, I had my braces put on.  That was my first experience in the orthodontic field.  I really enjoyed going to the orthodontist and when I was done with my treatment, I knew that I wanted to be an orthodontist.  I wanted to change lives and make people feel good about themselves and their smiles.

What I enjoy the most about orthodontics are a couple of things.  First, I get to meet great people every day.  We see our young patients grow up and see them develop into young adults.  I also love the facial changes that occur during orthodontic treatment.  Some changes are very subtle but some are significant and life changing.

At Pana Orthodontics, we do things a bit differently.  My philosophy is to treat the face first and then treat the teeth.  Facial aesthetics is a key component of my practice.  I just don’t want to create beautiful smiles, I also want to create beautiful faces.

My favorite thing to do on my free time, is to exercise and be with my family.

Growing up, I was one of those kids that was always at the dentist’s office. Like most kids, I had an insatiable sweet tooth and not-so-great hygiene habits which landed me in the dental chair 99.9% of the time. Unlike most though, I LOVED going to my dentist! Our family dentist…

From your initial consultation through the day we present your beautiful new smile, I will be a long side to answer any questions or concerns regarding treatment, financial, and insurance. It is my goal to make this a budget friendly and positive experience for you.

I have been in dental since 2013 and have been working for Pana Orthodontics for 2 years. I specialize in building a orthodontic practice ground up. I believe in providing a premier level of patient care, remaining transparent, and being empathetic to patients lives and their needs. Being a part of Dr. Pana’s team and assisting him in his successful re-brand is one of my greatest accomplishments. Our goal is to always put our patients first and provide the best quality of treatment to our patients with the newest/advanced technology. We strongly believe in giving back to our community and local schools. We take great pride in the long lasting relationships we have built with the families here in Southern Orange County.

Outside of the practice I spend most of my time with my family and friends. I enjoy cycling and hiking. I love all kinds of music and I’m a huge foodie!

Growing up, I was one of those kids that was always at the dentist's office. Like most kids, I had an insatiable sweet tooth and not-so-great hygiene habits which landed me in the dental chair 99.9% of the time. Unlike most though, I LOVED going to my dentist! Our family dentist and his staff made every experience fun and they treated us like family. I feel that's what truly makes a difference in a dental visit, when the doctor and their staff make you feel like one of their own when you are there. Those visits when I was younger are what sparked my interest and enthusiasm for the dental field and ultimately, is the reason why I decided to begin my career as an RDA in early 2011.

Since having the opportunity to join Dr. Pana and his team, they've done nothing but make both the patients and myself feel like family. They are truly invested in making every experience memorable and they tailor their skills to the needs of the patients. As an assistant that prides herself on making every patient feel "at home" in the dental chair, I am ecstatic to join a team as enthusiastic as I am about creating beautiful smiles and memories along the way!

On my downtime, you will find me doing anything from enjoying a quiet weekend with my boyfriend to going to concerts, sporting events, and the occasional weekend camping trips dirt bike riding in Johnson Valley with my family. The one past time that I LOVE the most is baking, I love making and decorating cupcakes! But baking anything that I can share with family and friends is my favorite past time.

It all started with a little 9-year-old girl who never smiled in pictures and around her family. She walked into a Disney themed orthodontic office in Orange, CA and met an Orthodontist who would change her life forever, physically and career wise. That 9-year-old little girl was me and after going through Phase 1 and Phase 2 orthodontic treatment and now currently going through Invisalign treatment as an adult, I can truly say that this is where I am supposed to be. I have been in the orthodontic field for 6 years and recently received my Orthodontic Assistant permit through the state of California. When I hear the word, “smile” I think of happiness and self-confidence. Many people say eyes are the first thing someone noticed, but I believe it’s your smile. Your smile shows you beaming with happiness. You are confident within your smile and ready to show the world your brand new smile, thanks to Orthodontics. I love seeing how much more confident our patients become with their new smiles. Plus, the surprise one their once they see their smile for the first doesn’t hurt either!

Pana Orthodontics is family. That’s why Pana Orthodontics sets it apart from other offices. Dr. Pana has an amazing attention to detail with his patients. You are treated like a part of the Pana Family from the moment you walk in for your first consultation to that moment you are walking out the door holding your bag of candy and showing the world the new YOU! You can catch me going to rock concerts with my boyfriend, exploring hiking trails in Southern California and Nevada, going up to my home town in Big Bear Lake, CA, looking up new coffee shops to find a new favorite coffee, scooping up a new book, or digging through antiques and vinyl records!
